Full Job Description

Quality Supervisor:

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and supervising all Quality Assurance activities in Production and in the Laboratory to assure exceptional quality product is delivered to the customer. Ensure that production process output is in compliance with customer expectations. Responsible for assisting Plant/Operations Manager with quality related communication to customer.

Main Responsibilities:

· Ensure production compliance with all internal and customer bottle and packaging specifications.

· Measurements and Testing

o Measures, records and reports dimensional, functional and visual attributes per internally specified requirements

o Maintains optimum performance and internal calibration checks on quality related equipment and schedules calibration of equipment requiring outside calibration

o Maintains measurement database integrity

· Customer Relationship Management regarding Quality issues

o Works with production and customer to determine optimized process settings to assure specified requirements are met (specifically during sampling and product qualification process)

o Hosts periodic customer visits

o Manages customer complaint process under the supervision of the Plant/Operations Manager

· Quality System

o Ensures compliance with all ISO and customer/external audit requirements

o Prepares and successfully completes audits

· Documentation

· Monitors on-line testing through daily checks of SPC data entry of Machine Operators

· Responsible for promoting quality mind set in all plant employees

· Responsible for the control & coordination of rework with production of all nonconforming product

· Color of bottles

o Responsible for color matching at each startup of bottle mold

o Responsible for obtaining & maintaining customer approved color samples for each bottle

· Responsible for Production Mold Book Process

· Ensures that a signed acceptable color sample which has been compared to approved customer sample is provided for production line at each start up by Quality Technician

· Trains and supervises all personnel performing quality testing within the quality lab and on the production floor

· Leading the Team

Performance Measurements:

· ISO Certification

· Customer and external audits

· Performance level of all quality employees

Education/Experience:

· Min 2 year Degree(Associates) in related field or equivalent

· Experience with physical lab testing equipment, calipers, scales, digital height gauge and compression force testing equipment and with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM)

· Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience required, preferably in manufacturing environment

Qualifications/Skills:

· Computer literate (Excel, SPC data base, Word)

· Ability to work well with other departments

· Able to handle multi-task environment with good organizational skills
