Home Sweet Home in Fairfax, Iowa

The City of Fairfax is located in east central Iowa, in Linn County. We are a short distance from Cedar Rapids and a quick trip to the Iowa City and Amana areas. Our population was 2,123 in the 2010 census. We were one of the fastest growing communities in Iowa. Fairfax is a great place to live!

Off leash Dog Park

The Fairfax Off-Leash Dog Park brings together dog-owners in our community to exercise and train their dogs in a clean and safe environment.

Sports Complex

The Fairfax Regional Sports and Park Complex includes a pavilion, playground, softball and baseball diamonds, as well as a lighted concrete walking trail to host many community and family events.

Bellon Farm Project

The Bellon Family Farm project is currently in development with the hopes of including an open-air pavilion, community gardens, event space, and mixed use commercial spaces.
