Construction Laborer/Lead man - WRH, Inc - Cedar Rapids, IA

WRH, Inc. is a General Contractor in Eastern Iowa. We are seeking a construction laborer to construct heavy civil, storm sewer pumping stations, waste water treatment plants, water treatment plants, concrete foundations, concrete flood walls, process piping and electrical sub-station & utility construction projects.

We are looking for experienced:
Laborers/Lead men with the ability to run crews of 2-5.

Minimum qualifications of the ideal candidate include:

• Ability to understand verbal English instruction from project superintendent
• Willingness to learn and practice safe work procedures
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and do physical labor as needed
• Ability to report for work on time a minimum of five 8-hour days per week and some Saturdays
• Basic knowledge in one of the following fields of construction: Excavation, Structural Concrete, Pipe Fitting and joining, process equipment installation, electrical underground conduit and duct banks

Additional desired qualifications but not required:

• Ability to interpret construction drawings
• Ability to speak and understand Spanish and English
• Operation of heavy equipment
• Carpentry
• Concrete/Concrete finishing

Starting Compensation:

• $17.50-$22.00 hourly based on experience and any applicable government wage scales
