Deputy Sheriff - Sac County Sheriffs Office - Cedar Rapids, IA

Sac County Sheriff’s Office has an opening for the position of deputy sheriff. Applicants must be a citizen of the United States and a resident of Iowa. Be at least 18-year of age at the time of appointment and have a high school diploma or GED. Have a valid Iowa driver’s license and not be addicted to drugs or alcohol. Must have uncorrected vision of not less than 20/100 in both eyes corrected to 20/20 and must pass a color vision test and a hearing test. Sac County offers a competitive salary with non-certified starting at $52,763.00 and certified starting at $56,822.00.

Sac County Civil Service Commission is accepting lateral transfers from those applicants already ILEA certified and currently employed as a law enforcement officer as well as transferred P.O.S.T. scores. Physical agility is required for all non-certified applicants. All finalist will be required to take a psychological test and pass a pre-employment physical.
