Wendling Quarries, Inc. (WQI) is a third generation family owned and operated business that produces crushed stone, sand and gravel for individuals and businesses in eastern Iowa and western Illinois. Job Summary:
Do you enjoy working outdoors and near water on a lake? Our Dredge team is looking for a self-motivated candidate with knowledge of operating heavy equipment to produce sand and sand by-products.. This position offers a variety of tasks every day, from operating multiple pieces of equipment, gradation testing, learning computerized controls on equipment to being on the water.
If you are looking for a position with independence this is the opportunity for you.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work independently
  • Understanding of basic mechanics and electrical knowledge of large equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and 100 pounds occasionally.

The hours for this position include: Monday – Friday with occasional Saturday work. On average works 50 hour weeks depending on the season.
