Full Job Description

This opening for a Contracts Manager is within the Business and Regional Avionics Contracts Department. This role is responsible for contracts with our commercial OEM agreements, agreements with dealers and services contracts. This position is for an experienced contracts professional with knowledge and developed technical expertise in contracts administration and negotiation. Although the Avionics production site is located in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the right candidate can support remotely and be located outside of this location/state.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Advise and support internal team on proposal content and contractual negotiations
  • Develop, evaluate, analyze, and interpret contracts to ensure alignment with internal processes, approved parameters, business and legal requirements, and contractual obligations
  • Flow down Customer contractual requirements within the organization
  • Manage and communicate business and contractual risk to the Program Team and management throughout the entire contract life cycle
  • As part of the program team, act as a subject matter expert for contractually related issues
  • Manage interface and correspondence with Customer’s Contracts point(s) of contact
  • Maintain historical contractual records and audit artifacts
  • Adhere to and comply with standard work processes
  • Other duties as required by the company

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required
  • Experience with drafting and negotiating LTAs, GTAs, NDAs, Bailment, Settlement agreements and other sets of terms and conditions
  • Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of commercial or USG manufacturing contracts
  • Aerospace experience
  • Experience with proposals and submittals to customers
  • Practical knowledge of project management.
  • Practical to substantial knowledge of policies and procedures
