Role Overview
The Procurement Documentation Specialist position creates Government case file documentation for the Procurement Organization. This position works closely with Buyers and Teammates in a fast-paced support role requiring critical thinking, excellent communication / writing skills, and a knack for problem solving. Specialists ensure accuracy and adherence to Collins policies and procedures and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
Primary Responsibilities:

Prepares Government case file documentation for the Procurement Organization per policies and procedures and the FAR

Researches and analyzes historical and current pricing and sourcing data in order to develop a written price analysis and source selection

Engages with numerous functional areas to obtain information to support case file documentation, such as the Supply Chain Organization, Engineering, Export / Import Compliance, and Program Office

Collaborates with the Compliance organization and constructively resolves case file feedback

Coaches and mentors Procurement staff on Government documentation requirements and identifies knowledge gaps

Represents the Procurement organization as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) during Government and Internal audits as well as in cross-functional working groups

Balances management of individual files with shared work flow of requests for documentation
Basic Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience.In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required. US Citizenship or Permanent Residence is required.
