This position is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and assisting of subcontracts activities between Collins Aerospace and Subcontractors/Suppliers during the life cycle of a product/program/new initiative or co-production of products while ensuring compliance with Company/Government policies and procedures. The primary focus of this position is to support subcontract program managers in obtaining optimum product/services in terms of costs, quality and delivery, consistent with an approved business/procurement/subcontracting plan and Company/Government policies and procedures. This is an excellent position to lead into more advanced roles related to Pursuit Execution, Project Management or Subcontract Program Management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides support to subcontracts program managers in the subcontracts-related pursuit activities including establishing the overall subcontract plan, proposal review criteria, analysis and evaluation of proposals.

  • Provides support and coordination during execution including risk management, action item tracking, dependencies, SDRL tracking, customer-owned property tracking, milestone and critical path schedule tracking, earned value management

  • Assists in seeking out and investigating qualified suppliers and manufacturers, establishes non-disclosure agreements

  • Supports negotiation activities with suppliers.

  • Assists with preparing and organizing compliant contractual documents in accordance with Company and Government policies

  • Assist with coordination of leadership, program and supplier-facing reviews and cadences

  • Prepares supplier performance metrics and data

  • Assignments will be supervised by higher level Subcontract Program Managers or Manager of Subcontracts.

  • Develops solutions to complex problems which require ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness.

  • Creates strong formal networks and acts as liaison within supply chain and program focals

  • Assists with supply chain issues on programs which are highly complexity or part of a larger program.

  • Strong willingness to learn supply chain and subcontracting processes, tools, and skills necessary to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of prior relevant experience OR

  • In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
