Tire Technician

Department: Service

Reports to: Service Manager

Classification: Non-Exempt

The Tire Technician is responsible for preventive maintenance and service of commercial tires.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and services on customer vehicles to include installation, repair and alignment of tires.
• Utilize proper tools and equipment to complete work in a safe manner. Communicate safety and equipment concerns to the Service Manager.
• Complete rotational on-call work including nights, weekends, and emergency road services.
• Drive company vehicles when needed, adhering to all company and DOT safety requirements.

• Check work for accuracy, including assisting other members of the team as needed.
• Clean work area when needed and at the end of the shift to maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
• Physical demands of this job are classified as Medium: exerting 51 to 100 pounds of force or lifting seldom and/or exerting 36 to 50 pounds of force or lifting occasionally, and/or 10 to 35 pounds of force or lifting frequently to move objects.
