I first landed in Iowa at the age of 15 after a childhood spent in Hawaii, California, and Tennessee. After graduating from the University of Iowa, I spent the 90s co-founding the Iowa Children’s Museum. I left Iowa City for 16 years to support community and economic development in Mount Pleasant, Iowa and Peoria, Illinois. I was fortunate to return to Iowa City-Cedar Rapids (ICR) in July of 2019 to lead a new regional economic development organization called ICR IOWA. I live in Iowa City with my husband Tim, two kiddos (Nora, 12, and Aidan, 15), and our dogs (Penny and Piper) and cats (Caleb and Eli). I love reading, entertaining, traveling, trips to the dog park, and theater (as a viewer!). When we aren't cheering in the stands at a Hawkeye game, our family loves exploring local restaurants, festivals, and museums.
